Community Activity

The Director of Roofing (Mr. Horace Wiltshire) saw the need to reach out to Marcus Banton; a bright and pleasant 14 year boy who has severe bone defects from birth and is bound to a wheelchair.  Marcus Banton lives with his father Mr. Delroy Banton (a fisherman in Rocky Point) and his two younger brothers.  Mr. Wiltshire and his sales team recognized that they were desperately in need of a new roof; as the roofing structure was completely destroyed by both Hurricane Ivan and Dean.  On September 11, 2008 Mr. Wiltshire and his sales team went on a mission to reconstruct and cover Mr. Banton’s house with Colour Galv Roofing System.   The team worked assiduously from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.  Mr. Banton who worked extremely hard as a fisherman to support his three boys were overwhelmed with joy and gratitude.   He recognized that there will be no need to resalvage sheets for a make shift roof and to take refuge at his friend home as he did during Tropical Storm Gustav.  Mr. Brown is relieved that he has a new roof on his house and he can relax  with his children during heavy rainfall.
